The InfoMedia Designs Team InfoMedia Designs offers an extraordinary group of diverse, experienced talent. Here are some of the people we are proud to call our team: John Larson, Ph.D., Performance & Instructional Systems Architect John brings 20+ years experience in performance and learning systems analysis, design and development. He has held management and thought leadership positions at 3 major corporations. John’s areas of interest and expertise center on: needs assessment, performance analysis, learning systems design, measurement and evaluation. John was also a pioneer in the origination of Electronic Performance Support Systems (EPSS), and has extended this work further into the area of knowledge management systems. John holds a PhD in Instructional Systems from Florida State University. He is Adjunct Professor of Performance and Learning Systems at Columbia University where he teaches graduate students in all phases of performance/learning systems design. He serves as Consulting Editor to the Performance Improvement Quarterly -- a professional journal for the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). In his earlier career John won 2 national research awards for his significant contributions to the field of learning & instruction – Robert M. Gagne Award; Dean & Sybil McClusky Award. Debra Ronca, Web Developer & Writer Debra is a web developer/content writer with over ten years of experience in online learning. She has worked with every aspect of the development process – from needs assessment to course design to pre-/post-test creation and user testing. Debra began her career at AT&T, where she worked for the AT&T School of Business and Technology, creating award-winning CD- and web-based learning programs. She has also worked with Lucent and CRKInteractive, developing online learning programs with a focus on usability, information architecture, and human factors. Stephen Dempsey, Software Engineer Stephen brings 30-plus years of business management and software development to InfoMedia Designs. His experience includes lead roles in business management and technology ranging from very large corporations to small startups. Stephen began his career at AT&T where he developed and managed nationally deployed very large software systems and an accredited systems design training curriculum. While there he started a nationally based systems development support organization that funded and worked with systems related technology projects at Purdue, the University of Michigan, Boston University, University of Maryland, and Stanford University. Stephen served as VP of Network Services and then as President of Atlantic Information Management, Inc., a software services company. He served as Executive VP of, Inc., a web-based affinity program provider, and as VP of Technology for iFrame, Inc., a NYC based web development company. Before joining InfoMedia Designs, Stephen was an executive consultant, designing and developing a successful web-based commodity futures trading company and the Over-the-Counter Options portion of MLX, Merrill Lynch's institutional trading portal. Robert Davis, Software Engineer Rob has 25+ years experience building both large scale proprietary business applications and commercial software products for small businesses and consumers. Most recently he has focused on web based internet/intranet projects involving a wide array of technologies including; Java, J2EE, C++, VB, Active Server Pages, JavaScript, VBScript, HTML, plugins, JDBC, JNDI, Oracle, MS SQLServer, ObjectStore and many others. For several years prior to this he managed and developed Microsoft Windows based applications mostly written with Visual C++. He has significant experience developing client-server applications using both relational and object-oriented database management systems. He has practiced and taught object oriented design and development for many years. He is an experienced business systems analyst, application system designer, and project manager and has owned and run a software development business. Rob's current professional interests are in the practical application of the internet as an enabling medium fostering new modes of organization and interaction in business. Of particular interest is that ways this medium encourages and facilitates the dynamic creation, coordination and operation of informal work groups from individuals who are otherwise organizationally and formally divergent. Alan Zeldin, Software Engineer Alan has worked as a software developer for 20 years. For last five years he has been developing web-based Learning Management, Knowledge Management and Performance Support systems using the java and sql database tools along with industry standard protocols and object oriented design techniques. Alan has led small teams of programmers using RAD (rapid application development) techniques to quickly prototype and implement robust, flexible systems for users. Alan holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Queens College, NY. He has published several books on computer programming as well as publishing CASE and entertainment software. Richard Ziminski III, Systems Engineer Rick serves as Chief Systems Engineer at InfoMedia Designs where he develops and supports hosting and LAN environments for the company’s software development staff as well as the knowledge management and e-learning infrastructures for many of its corporate clients. Rick has earned professional certifications in Microsoft (MCSE), Solaris (SCSA) and Linux (LPI). He is a charter member of TechRebulic, a community of system engineers who contribute material to Microsoft's TechNet service. William Weisbach, Creative Director Bill brings 20-plus years of design and media development experience to InfoMedia Designs. He has broad experience in creative as well as technical roles. Early in his career, Bill provided interactive design and art direction for AT&T’s Automated Learning Systems group, which pioneered interactive videodisc training. Bill later served as audio director and product designer for Optical Data Corporation, a leading producer of videodisc and CD-ROM learning programs and consumer entertainment titles. Prior to joining InfoMedia Designs, Bill served as an independent media producer for clients including AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Apple Computer, Prudential Insurance, and many others. Currently, Bill serves as Creative Director at InfoMedia Designs, responsible for user experience and interface design and development. He provides creative direction and development for all our solutions, and all related media development and production services. Carl Chase, Director of Operations Carl has been developing and managing technology-based training solutions since 1985. He has worked with companies in the banking, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and chemical industries, and has had diverse roles as project manager, producer, developer and training systems designer. He has been responsible for the development, maintenance and ongoing operations of an eLearning management and distribution system used by over 100,000 learners for one of our Fortune 500 clients. He has produced dozens of effective business-driven solutions for his clients, including web-based courseware, performance support systems, multimedia training programs and computer-based training. Steve has 20+ years experience in the application of computer technology to corporate education and training. He has worked extensively on the design, development, implementation and operation of computer based training systems, interactive videodisc systems, expert systems, electronic performance support systems, networked and standalone Windows and UNIX-based learning systems, multimedia CD-ROMs and corporate infrastructures for web-based e-learning and knowledge management at various Fortune 500 corporations. |
